Dr. Prerna Khanna
Dr. Prerna Khanna, Founder and Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Inner connect – Psychological Services™, is registered with Rehabilitation Council of India, and has over 15 years of experience in the field. Currently, she is also working as Senior Consultant clinical Psychologist at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Vaishali.
Having done her Graduation and Post Graduation in psychology from Delhi University, she has further done her M.Phil (Clinical Psychology) from The Institute of Human Behaviour and Allies Sciences (IHBAS) and pursued her Ph.D in the area of Adolescent mental health issues and familial relationships from Delhi University. She has continued her professional development through C.P.D Courses from the United Kingdom; in specialised areas of Advanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and Child Internet Safety.
She is a member of the prestigious ‘Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists’ (IACP) and ‘Indian Psychiatric Society’ (IPS). She has authored various papers in renowned journals and has written chapters in books. She has also conducted numerous webinars and workshops on various mental health issues for schools, communities, and professionals.
Dr. Khanna provides assessment as well as psychotherapy for a range of issues, from day-to-day problems to more complex psychological conditions; such as, depression, anxiety, OCD, Panic attacks, phobias etc. She provides both short-term as well as long term psychotherapeutic interventions, as per clients’ requirement and psychological condition. She specialises in Cognitive behaviour therapy approach and also provides person-centred therapy to assist clients in their overall personal growth process. She has keen interest in child and adolescent mental health issues with extensive experience in working holistically with parents and families.
